What do you mean by that?

If you mean that spammers can relay through your system now, that is not
necessarily true.  You should limit access to your machine (through the
access file in 8.9.x).  As a limited connection machine (otherwise why use
diald) you should be relaying through a SMART_HOST (which will do all the
checks for domain names etc that you are skipping on your machine).  You
should not ever accept unresolvable domains and then attempt delivery
directly to the target address.

If you mean that fetchmail (or any other download and delivery method) will
now fill your machine with the spam that was already in your external
mailbox, you are correct.  Though the latest fetchmail seems to have added
some antispam features (haven't checked them out yet).
