It depends on the kernel version installed.  I remember 0 through 5 on some
kernel 2.0.x.  Since 2.2.x it's been limited to 0 through 2.  [I switched
from 2.0.x to 2.1.x long ago so I don't know if this applies to all 2.0.x
versions.]
