Sorry, but that is not actually very true...
I only have a tap0 interface and it works fine...
I don't think you actually need slip anymore...
You have to add these lines to conf.modules (or modules.conf... it depends
on your system...)
alias tap0 ethertap
options tap0 -o tap0 unit=0
I think you also have to issue a mknod command, but I forgot which...
I'll try to tell more in a few days...
