I have been following the emails closely and think I am close to getting
this thing working
I am running rh6.1 which is a kernal 2.2
after installing the rpms and writing the modifying the scripts
I created a s10 dial up in linuxconf
I did install slip when installing to make sure I could use diald
diald did work and tried to connect but I have pipes running or (masq) and I
think that prevented it from connecting
but after a few attempts diald lost the s10 and started giving me the
tap errors again but as I have gleaned from the list that is not the problem
I have not installed the tap although I tried that and it did nothing
I am stumped no where does any documentation tell me how to configure the
slip interface
can anyone please just spell out the slip configuration for me
I am missing something!
