Should it matter whether the link is up ? Isn't that what diald is for ? ie. when
someone wants to check their email it just connects ?

Subject: Link up thing

I share a connection to the internet over a lan with windows clients, some
of the other people on the Lan wanted to know when the link was up, so that
they could check e-mail when other people had already brouaght the link up.
I've now writtern a small Delphi App which sits in the Windows tray, and
changes it's icon when the link is up. It does this by monitering a webpage
which is altered when diald brings the link up and down.

Firstly is this the best solution? (is there another?)
Secondly is anybody else intrested in the code?

Chris
