I thought I mentioned sleeping rather than tracking this down any further.

I started using ipchains (1.0.1 or 1.0.2) soon after it was introduced with
the kernel 2.1.x series. Memory says I patched kernels 2.1.48(?) up until
around 2.1.103(?). But I could be off on the build numbers by 10 or so one
way or another. (I think kernel 2.1.44 or so ate my harddrive not to be
repeated until around 2.1.112.)

I don't know that I can go back and check. I typically kill old copies only
leaving the 2 most recent builds.
