I use diald 099.4. , kernel 2.2.14 ethertap modul support incuded.
It runs correctly with sl0 device, only during loading diald messages occur.

I added calling modules in /etc/conf.modules
alias tap0 ethertap
options tap0 -o tap0 unit=0
for all 15 tap devices.
And all 15 tap devices were manually created in /dev.
After loading diald no previous messages occur in log file (loading diald
looks fine), tap0 device exists as default gateway (instead sl0).
Problem is by chat.
Messages in log when I tried to ping address 1.1.1.1:
