Add a "fifo" and/or a "tcpport" option to your config. Using an ethertap
instead of a slip interface means diald opens a file descriptor or two
less which exposes a bug when forking the chat script (i.e. it doesn't
get connected to the device the modem is on). Specifying a "fifo" or
"tcpport" opens an extra descriptor so works around the problem.
