Hmm IF it turns out to be the way that you are discussing -> More OSD Memory results in more dropouts due to reduced Video Buffer ... Isn't it possible ( if the new module supports a parameter for the OSD memory ) reload the module without osd memory when recording, and to reload it again after pressing stop to have the normal OSD memory & benefits ?? This would mean -> no (at least no big ) OSD while recording, which would suit me, but which would disturb people with multiple cards of course ...
