in italy we have, at least:
D+ (seca)
stream (nds, irdeto)
STC (viaccess)

Are you sure you don't break any law RECORDING a digital copy of the 
copyrighted material broadcasted by satellite? and don't say you only record 
for differite view, because it would be only a cheap excuse. Using VDR you 
could be able to sell illegal copies of the transmissions written on 
CD-DVD...

this sentence is the key. why don't you ask Klaus and everybody to remove 
DVD support from VDR and stop talking about this on the ml?
