We talk about "softcam" which allows to view without subscription. > Are you sure you don't break any law RECORDING a digital copy of the > copyrighted material broadcasted by satellite? and don't say you only record > for differite view, because it would be only a cheap excuse. But as I don't sell any copies there is no problem. > this sentence is the key. why don't you ask Klaus and everybody to remove > DVD support from VDR and stop talking about this on the ml? I personally see the DVD support critical. It has been introduced by patches from others and I am pretty sure that this will happen with the softcam, too. I can nothing do about it it beside expressing my opinion here. And I am not alone. I just hope that Klaus will not integrate this permanently into VDR to avoid any danger of VDR and the DVB project becoming a target for legal actions. > sure, I'll STOP, but don't say it's UNETHICAL. Its my personal opinion. If you don't want to hear it, then I can nothing do about it. If this discussion caused doubts about their activities in some people than it wasn't fruitless. And I can only say: Hit dogs are barking. ;-) EOD Emil -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe linux-dvb" as subject.
