perhaps offtopic here in this list and also not causing my previous
problem.
Is there any solution for the future about handling different tuner
modules?
Currently I have to use 2 to 3...
1) for the bt8x8 chip of a low budget analog TV card (included by
kernel)
2) for the Matrox Marvel, a different one has to be used
3) for the Siemens DVB, another one must be used
Anyone out there who has the source for a all-in-one tuner module?
Is this a proper way that each new TV card needs its own tuner
module, but name this module like exising one?
Is this a v4l design issue? Would this be solved sometimes in the
future?
