Ok, now I've tried with another antenna, both with the jumper removed and 
in place. Have also tried different values for the -i option to scan.
Still doesn't work.
It apparently detects that there's _something_ on the frequencies I supply 
because if I use the wrong frequencies or wrong value for the -i option I 
get "tuning failed!!!" instead of "filter timeout".
