Jim Gettys slimmed down the framebuffer X server to about 500K to get
it running on the Compaq iPaq handheld computer. His efforts are
included in XFree86 4.0.1, but you might get even better results with
the latest CVS version of XFree86. See http://www.xfree86.org/ for
details on this, and also on the X mailing lists (they're open now).
