I guess the code needs to be checked, but I would think that:
* ls
* find
* rm -r
* chown -R
* chmod -R
* rsync
* various backup software
* imap servers
are all likely users of readdirplus. Of course the ones that spend the
majority of the time doing stat are the ones that would benefit more.
