Which is why I proposed the other, slightly less intrusive option, which we can simply put in reasonably soon, and then, with more time at our hands, look at the above.
actually the first option is less intrusive (in fact its almost done)
looking in a different place for the meta options is far easier than searching for two different names throughout the code.

no i dont how's that easier than looking for two names, don't you have to do that everywhere too? That sounds like a simple function call.
and a bunch of memory allocations which i'd like to avoid if possible... we already do plenty :-) Implementing it as the first option may be less intrusive to the CRM (I'll let you be the judge of that), but it certainly causes more effort for everyone else.
