Hi Lars, hi all,

;-) Well, I have read that it is a good idea to have an other type of
path to heartbeat over. Actually, on another server, I have the eth0 for
the normal traffic, eth1 for heartbeat and for DRBD and the serial port
as an additionnal path for heartbeat. With such a manner, if the IP
stack goes down, the serial port remains up. Well, that is what I read a
few months ago.

What do you think about this idea? So, is it best to buy a new NIC than
using something else (USB, serial card)?
