I was under the impression that the plugin worked for you with a couple
changes:

Yeah true, doing that patch worked to remove that error but the entire
logic of the code was incompatible for my APC, that is why I wrote my
own plugin entirely. It is also why I sent you the source code
including all the telnet screens privately.
but that you were not happy with the security. I even sent you a patch
that would handle both the presence and absence of the 'Escape char...'
string but did not hear back if that was working as well (just
commenting out the string would break other folks who see that string).
Yes I was not happy with the security. The ideal thing to have is the
plugin using sshv2 but since I was busy I stuck with standard telnet
and dedicated a secure VPN to wrap it.

Sorry, but Linux-HA is not my full-time job at IBM. I try to help out
with answering stonith issues since I have some expertise in the area
after converting the v1 stonith plugins to 2.0 back in 2005, but my real
responsibility lies in another project and resolving any PPC64-related
Linux-HA issues that may arise. Your plugin is still on my list, it
just hasn't bubbled to the top.
I understand your situation, in any case I have further developed the
plugin and squashed our some more bugs and added more features from
the one I sent you. If you know anyone who is willing to take my java
source code and convert it to C or whatever for use with HA, then that
would be great.
Well I'd certainly like to see the code (send to me directly please), I
was just looking through the .java file you sent a few months back. Did
you add support for getting the list of outlets (a.k.a. hostlist)? What
version of firmware does this work for? It'd really be nice to know
which plugin ot use for which firmware (use the current apcmaster for
v1, use a new apsmaster2 for v2-3, etc.) I don't want to change the
current apcmaster/apcmastersnmp by switching to the new menus/IODs and
thereby breaking the folks who are happily using the code as it is today...
Sorry for any miss-understanding I may have caused.
None caused, just wanted to point at the facts so that everyone is
aware. Thanks...
