Thanks for the link!

Unfortunately, it didn't help (I tried upgrading to those packages). I
also tried switching from Ubuntu to Debian (Etch/4.0) and neither the
stock packages or the ones on that link got the errors going to the log
to stop.

hmmmmm

are you sending any of your own messages across the cluster?

So that's four versions over 2 distros. Any idea what I might try next?
