I have a cluster on my hands to setup, and I'm a complete newbie to
configuring heartbeat. Not a good combination, huh? But, we've all got
to start somewhere.
The cluster's a fairly simple drbd/nfs cluster. Two hosts, server1 and
server2. drbd is already installed, configured and working beautifully.
NFS is there, exports are in place. The last component is heartbeat.
I've been searching and searching, and nowhere can I find a
straight-forward guide on how to create a cib.xml file, or even what all
of it *means*.
The 'integrating with heartbeat2' guide on drbd.org doesn't help much.
It tells me the kind of things I need to have in my file, but I have to
admit that cib.xml doesn't make a lick of sense to me. That's where I
need help. Is there anything out there that can explain, simply and
plainly, how to craft a cib.xml file? I don't have the option of using
the GUI tool for it, as none of the servers have the management daemon
as part of their packages, and I can't compile my own here.
Please. Is there any help you guys can give me? All of this confuses
me terribly, right now, but I want to learn and understand it.
Regards,
Adrian Overbury
