Hello all. I just started using heartbeat and have a lot of success
(and few headache) getting it up and running. Thanks for a great job on
the software!
I have two host machines running VMware server. Each currently has only
one RHEL5 VM on it. The two VMs are clustered, sending heartbeats of
the host machines' serial ports. What if I were to spin up two more VMs
(one on each host machine) and make them part of a separate two node
cluster, and configure them to send their heartbeats over the serial
ports as well? I guess there wouldn't be a problem is SHA1 or MD5 is
used as Heartbeat would ignore those invalid heartbeats, right? But is
there going to be any collision if I use CRC for both clusters? Thanks
for any insight
