Hello Dejan,
from the Debian package provided at and build by myself

is /usr/lib/stonith/plugins/external/ipmi missing. That is why it
didn't work
for me. Now that I copied over the file over manually and make it
executable it
seems to work.
(postgres-01) [~/work/eclogic/ha-setup] dpkg -L heartbeat | grep
external
/usr/lib/stonith/plugins/external
/usr/lib/stonith/plugins/external/ibmrsa
/usr/lib/stonith/plugins/external/rackpdu
/usr/lib/stonith/plugins/external/riloe
/usr/lib/stonith/plugins/external/ssh
/usr/lib/stonith/plugins/external/vmware
/usr/lib/stonith/plugins/stonith2/external.so
and maybe a few others, too. What I don't get is why "stonith -L"
does list
external/ipmi.
I believe it was considered too broken to continue shipping.
None of us have the required hardware to test/fix/maintain the
relevant code.
Of course if someone shipped me one... ;-)
