Thats a generous offer David, if the devs really need SPARC machines then there 
would of course be a way. 

The problem i see is - if devs have no knowledge of Solaris itself - it aint as 
easy as installing a debian =) - although with Solaris 10 it got a lot better...

What remains are the shipping cost, if this is the only issue and (depending on 
the location from to) is within a certain amount, i could try (no promise) fund 
some money to the sending party.

We do have a few sparc boxes, but they are all needed, so i can only use them 
for testing development releases.

About the patches, i would get back on that - but the last information i have 
is that it wouldnt compile for a number of reasons.
