The biggest problem with the cib is that people (me included) try to
jump into a running config without really understanding what each part
is responsible for. Take your time, don't expect to figure it out in an
afternoon (or possibly even a week of afternoons) :)
There are also a lot of little gotchas which may seem insignificant, but
which are far from it. The one that has given me the biggest series of
headaches is how far away CentOS/RHEL package init scripts are from the
LSB, I had to re-write 4 or 5 init scripts for programs like clamav and
spammassassin to get the to return the proper code for status when
they're not running (0 not 1)..
Running the OCF tester on your OCF scripts will help a great deal also.
Basically, with V2 of heartbeat the devil is in the details, and there
is a mountain of details to tend to (though, when you iron them out, it
runs really really well).
