thanks a lot again for your precious support.
I have finally solved the problem. I have wrongly assigned the value 
"eth0" instead of eth0:0 to the nic parameter. The "eth0" already exists 
on both the PCs. So the operations was not committed rightly. Now the 
things seem to be working fine. The shared resource (IPAddr) is 
exchanged between the nodes when one of them fails.
