Hello Dejan,

Thanks for your information. After looking to the bug filed and solution by
Dave Blaschke "The link you pointed to..."

If I understand this correctly, This is really a work around the issue that
some telnet apps do not
issue "Escape character is '^]'" when logging in while others do.

Now the question is which are the telnet apps that do issue "Escape
character is '^]'" when logging in.

I am running Fedora 7 and I use putty to ssh to the box running stonith
demean.

I have also seen other posting which points to the same problem while using
other APC products. Is this issue related only with STONITH not being fully
compatible with APC products? If this is so, will the problem be solved by
moving to STONITH Devices from other vendors?

Do you know of any other STONITH products which doesn't have the issue?

As you said "Hmm, this looks ancient. " and the bug was filed on 2008-05-01
"almost three years ago!". Since this bug was not fixed in the current
STONITH as I am under impression that I am running the current version, "The
package stonith which is installed is: stonith - 2.0.8-1.fc7.i386",
"assuming there has been new releases of STONITH Demean since the filed
bug", does this means that the STONITH wishes not to support APC products?

Thank you very much for your help.

Avestan
