Hi All,
i write because I have an issue configuring an Apache Tomcat 5.5.12 on
pacemaker/heartbeat infrastructure.
My OS is a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
I successfully configure an httpd resource and many ip addresses, but
the problem is tomcat.
This is my "show xml" for tomcat:
primitive htwscoll ocf:heartbeat:tomcat \
params java_home="/prodotti/jre1.6.0_26/"
catalina_home="/prodotti/collaudo/apache-tomcat-5.5.12-htws/" \
op monitor interval="60s" timeout="30s" \
op start interval="0" timeout="120s" \
op stop interval="0" timeout="120s"
i would like to use the startup script of tomcat itself
(tomcat/bin/catalina.sh) because of special options and configuratins of
the apache (as example, kerberos domain authentication, special tomcat
user with jsvc, special operations on "stop" action).
With the two parameter upon (java_home and catalina_home) the service
does not start, and in crm_mon --one-shot i see:
Resource Group: htws
iphtwsc (ocf::heartbeat:IPaddr2): Started hitech1
htwscoll (ocf::heartbeat:tomcat): Stopped
The IP goes up well.
In the messages of the system i read:
Nov 19 10:55:56 hitech1 lrmd: [13226]: WARN: htwscoll:start process (PID
10202) timed out (try 1). Killing with signal SIGTERM (15).
Nov 19 10:55:56 hitech1 lrmd: [13226]: WARN: operation start[22] on
ocf::tomcat::htwscoll for client 13231, its parameters:
catalina_home=[/prodotti/collaudo/apache-tomcat-5.5.12-htws/]
CRM_meta_timeout=[120000] crm_feature_set=[3.0.5]
java_home=[/prodotti/jre1.6.0_26/] CRM_meta_name=[start] : pid [10202]
timed out
The log is referring to a "timed out" event, but what is talking about?
Maybe the "status" or "monitor" action?
I know there is way for NOT using the heartbeat resource file and tell
pacemaker to use the custom init script, but i'm wondering about the
stability of the cluster.
Thank you!
