Thank you, Florian, for your reply. My dubt was indeed, as you mentioned, about the part of "monitor"-ing the service. I looked at the script provided with the package (tomcat), and the part of monitor is the more cryptic. It mentions that the monitoring would be done on 127.0.0.1:8080, but i never heard something like that on Tomcat. Do you know what the script is talking about?
