Hi!

I need to restart sbd with new parameters. Unfortunately I'll have to restart
OpenAIS (in SLES11 SP2) to do that, it seems. In effect that means that many
productive resources will have to be restarted (as they depend on cLVM and
OCFS2).

It would be nice if sbd had a built-in restart/upgrade mechanism.

At least in one of my daemons I had implemented "in place upgrade" when the
program exec()s itself (however with the same parameters):

NET-manager@hp6[19009](2010-12-21 14:19:07):I:(handle_sighup): Got SIGHUP #1
NET-manager@hp6[19009]:I:(monitor): SIGHUP detected, preparing for in-place
update
NET-manager@hp6[19009](2010-12-21 14:19:07):I: Starting, args: service

(it was a requirement that the PID does not change during update)

I guess it wouldn't be too hard to update parameters while sbd is running...

So is it possible with sbd? If not, why? ;-)

Regards,
Ulrich
