First, it's not a good idea to use datagram mode to transport IP.
Second, the DCD algorithm of soundmodem (and in fact many others)
requires some excess bandwidth. Do you have any tight filter
between the demodulator and the soundcard?
Also, DC components at the soundcard should be avoided.
