I have tried twice to send this to the fbb list with no luck...
I am repeatedly told the message is undeliverable...

My intention is not to bug the list, but knowing that so many
on this list use F6FBB I figured there was a simple answer
for a fellow linux-ham. I can't be the first w/this prob. can I?

I never knowingly try to test the patience of any mail-list police :-)
                                              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

( by the way, again, no offense towards the sat people. I'm actually
very experienced in sat work , or was, having installed, operated and
maintained commercial sat systems for over 5 years military/civilian
during the early to mid eighties. That's when I became interested in
amateur radio and was first licensed. I just am very inexperienced in
amateur sat ).

I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the sat server in fbb.
Since the directory arrived empty, everytime someone tries to
access the server, the whole system goes a little bonkers and
shuts down. I received no satupdat program with the download and
personnally don't care whether the service is offered or not.

Can someone in the group help out? If it's not possible to turn it off
how do I go about filling the directory? I'm not involved with the
satellite part of the hobby and know little about the
practical side of it. Before someone takes this as a jibe towards the
satellite part of the hobby, I'm not debating whether it's practical,
I'm saying I practically know nothing about it, other than what
I've read over the years.

Thank you all,
JC
