Currently there is a Pc-based repeaterproject, including voicemail,
linkmanagement etz namned RLM. We are som radioclubs in Sweden running this
system. I am SYSOP of such system with QTH Flen, Sweden. The system is very
robust and works nicley. The policy of the system is to run on simple
computers. One of the reasons for this is that such system mostly are
placed in bad environments, such as water tower or similar. Also - most of
the radioclubs do not have very much money - or ........

The RLM-system is descibed on http://vbk.campus.luth.se/~rlm/

This system has a great potential to new functions. In the future it can be
as a kernel in a sostificated system with remoutly controlled transceivers,
voicelink, internetgateway etz etz. Particulary if the system is running in
a multiuser system.

Me, and Peter (the owner of the RLM-code), are investigating the
possibility to migrate this DOS-based RLM-system into a LINUX operating
system. There is a lot of work to do for this, but it may be possible to do
it if we can get help from 5 to 10 C++ programmers. This e-mail is to find
out the interest around the world for such a project .
