We have seen the same behaviour at SK6SA. We uses two computers, 486dx66,
both with two pairs of DRSI cards. In one of these computers we also used
an USCC>4-card for a while but we had probles with the initialization,
sometimes it could not find the the two highest ports, so we took it out
as we did not have use for it (we intend to exchange the DRSI-cards with
USCC>4-cards later on) In one of the compters the two DRSI-cards uses the
same interrupt, on the other we use different interrupts. On both computers
we have had problems with the ports not sending any data. We do not
have any Ethernet or sound cards on these computers, they are as bare
as they can get, to avoid I/O and interrupt conflicts.
It seems as if these problems show up on ports not used very often.
We seldom have problems on the links, but often at the LAN (which is
not used that much)
I have also seen this problem some times at home, but not very often.
I am using one DRSI-card.

Does not work for us.

I do not think that this is the problem as the problem most often
occurs on the ports with low traffic. If it was a ground problem,
one should not be ablo to see this tendency, it ougth to be more
random then.

There seem to be some kind of problem with the USCC>4-card here
not related to an I/O-conflict. Perhaps the USCC>4-card needs
a larger delay between the write and read operation.
