This reply has nothing to do with linux-hams as such, so if anyone is

1200 baud on 7030 would be contrary to I.A.R.U. Region 1 rules and
regulations.
You are not in Region 1, so you may have a different band allocation,
however the bandwidth would cause all of us concern, espescaly on such a
narrow band.
Another point is that for most regions 7030 is for QRP CW.
