greetings, I'm having some small problems with RH5.1 and the ax25 utils,
could be that this topic has been already answered, if yes please
forgive me. I've just installed a fresh RH5.1 and compiled a new 2.0.36
Kernel with AX25 support and Soundmodem too, all OK. Than I've
downloaded the ax25-utils-2_1_42a-2_i386.rpm ( from a mirror site;
ftp.redhat.com seams to be down ot at least unreachable from Italy). I
did rpm -i -vv ax25-utils-2_1_42a-2_i386.rpm all ok but it does not
install the utils for the soundmodem as sethdlc smmixer etc. Is this
right or I'm wrong somewhere ???
Some side comments : How it is possible for SLACKWARE 3.5 to install
the new egcs C compiler that does not compile the KERNEL ??? I remember
once I replaced GCC on a system ... do not ask me to do it again ...
