Well, after having many problems similar to this, we (in the Northeast)
decided to re-evaluate how we are linked, and redesign the network. The new
layout was nicknamed "Spamnet" :)

This is an old map (May '98) but the core of the network is pretty much the
same..

Theoretically you can do this by setting the channel modes. I've had mixed
sucess with experimenting this. Unfortunately, I do not know of anyway to
automate this (with pp-3.12).

Look in the Makefile. It just so happens that I ftp'd the tpp sources off
of Febo.com :)

Specifically in the Makefile:

CDEF7= -DSETLOGNAMES # allow users to set callsign with -l option

This allows 'convers -l n1jfu blah blah'

As someone else noted, I highly reccomend N1VTN's version of ColorConvers.
The latest version is 1.05. I don't believe that there is an official
distribution site, but after Talking with Terry Dawson last night, it may
show up in the usual locations. If you can't find it, send me mail and I
will make it available to anyone who wants it.

We (in the Northeast again) have been doing quite a bit of work recently,
so it's fresh in our minds. Let me know if you need any help..
