The answer your are looking for is NO.

Technically it is on a store and forward basis but there are much better 
systems available for the proffessional user. These days you can get a 
satellite telephone and a modem in you laptop and you can have net 
access. Its not cheap but its legal and friendly.

As for your company carrying ham traffic, yes please and thank you.
