I have been running this for quite some time:

It works fairly well, although it does have a tendency to orphan lock files
occasionally and I have a cron job that clears unowned locks (by "fuser").
Note that there are upgrades available from the primary distribution site:
ftp://ftp.scott.net/pub/linux/mail
However, I have not used the upgrades personally and cannot comment on them.
