Hi Jeremy,
Welcome to Ham radio and Linux! Get that HT and also get the
ax25-HOWTO from sunsite.unc.edu and print it and read it 3 times. It
matters which kernel your using and which compiler. I just got the latest
production kernel 2.2.0 and it's HUGE! 13 meg when compressed and must be
30 meg installed. But the kernel file zImage is still < 500k.
I have internet AND ax25 tcp/ip on the same Linux and it is a bit
tricky. But I do it with route add and such and with ifconfig you can
check your work. If your not happy read the net3-HOWTO and learn.
