I'd forgotten about that...

RedHat uses the following directory structure for howto's:

 Q> /usr/doc/HOWTO                      Currently maintained HOWTO's
 Q> /usr/doc/HOWTO/mini                     "           " mini-HOWTO's
 Q> /usr/doc/HOWTO/unmaintained         Unmaintained HOWTO's
 Q> /usr/doc/HOWTO/unmaintained/mini            "    mini-HOWTO's

Note the capitalisation therein...
