I'm pretty much a lurker on this list, and I'm not very active as a ham.
The HAM-HOWTO has a place in my heart as a place I can go to get an
overview of what sort of stuff people have worked on and what I might play
with if I had more time for hobbies. It is one of the HOWTOs that I bother
to print out and put in my big HOWTO binder. I don't try to keep the
latest version on hand. If I get seriously interested in something I'll
look for a newer HOWTO and also for more specialized documentation related
to the particular application.
I hear what Terry is saying about the difficulties of keeping something
complete and up-to-date. What I would like to put into the pot is the
thought that something that may not be complete or completely
up-to-date can be useful, too. I'd like to see something like the
HAM-HOWTO survive in a place where it will be easy to find, like the
HOWTO directory.
