There isn't a lot of interest or knowledge of amateur radio protocols
outside of this circle. I can cite many examples of amateur radio being
overlooked in the mainstream development circles because it is "niche",
or "boring" or "ugly". Some of these criticisms are valid in a global
context. You can't expect everyone to be interested :) If we want
anything done we will have to do it ourselves.
