Indeed. I've been assuming right along that the publication would be
part of the LDP and would therefore be distributable under the usual LDP
rules (http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP/LDP-COPYRIGHT.html) and methods.
ARRL's role would be to make it available to those who want to get it as
a printed book. ARRL books are available in-country in most
English-speaking countries as well as a few others (see
http://www.arrl.org/catalog/dlrsearch.phtml). And, of course, they can
be ordered directly from ARRL via the Web.
One reason why I want to see the size (and thus the cost and the
financial risk) not grow *too* large is because on this nonexclusivity.
Whatever the market for this document may be, clearly only a fraction of
it lies in physical media.
If we can add some value, too, great.
Please don't misinterpret the above to mean that I'm against the way the
LDP is licensed. I wholeheartedly support it.
