Yes there is a Linux alternative.
It's called qsstv.

I developed it, and i'm still working on it.
Today version 1.0b is available, just to get a feeling for the product.
Probably next week I will release version 2.0a with new features, and
hopefully some bugs less.

I compared the performance and iage quality of qsstv
with chromapix and jvcom32.
QSSTV showed a better performance and image quality in noisy conditions
then the products metionned above.

Hi.  I attended a ham meeting yesterday in Singapore and one OM was talking
about SSTV.  A pretty cool product was demoed but apparently it runs only 
on Windows (www.siliconpixels.com).  I am wondering if there are similar 
ones for Linux?
