Our gateway was re-made into a full Linux gateway about a month
ago. To use it now we BBS sysops only need to know the distant node name
and we can forward with anyone. Or, a DX Cluster can be found and used.
As time passed nodes that were from the gateway stopped working.
Today I ran a test. I have an accurate node list on my Linux
/proc/net/nr_nodes from which I picked 10 nodes all from the gateway and
called all ten without a single success! Over 90% of the nodes are shown
as coming from NG7M-8 which is not correct.
At this time the gateway is not useable. I know the gate uses the
latest ax25-util which was modified to work with the 2.2.x kernel and it
did work fine. Does anyone have an idea as to what happened?
