The way you would do it is load aprsd on the machine with the TNC, and 
xastir on the machine you wanted to view. The aprsd functions as a 
server, sending the raw data to the other machine, where it is decoded. 
So you get what you want, but the server is capable of feeding other 
clients on your network, and linking with the national APRS network.
