I have been experimenting with the soundmodem on my computer, just receiving on
144.39. The Ethernet works fine to the family's Win95 box until the Linux box, mine,
dials the ISP. The Ethernet stops communicating between the machines right after the
ppp0 -> /dev/modem. If I wait until after the PPP link is up before starting the
soundmodem it works until PPP drops the connection. Both PPP & Soundmodem are modules.
Running ping on the Linux box show Ethernet activity on the hub but no
response. I have rebooted the family computer and the Ethernet still doesn't
communicate. The only way I have found so far is to reboot the Linux box to get the
two computers communicating.
Any suggestions are welcome & thanks in advanced.
Just forgot but the I'm running Slackware 3.4 with a 2.0.36 Kernel. I have
the ax25 utils 2.4.5 (?).
