Karl, I think that we must all understand 2 basic things:
- When a software is beta, it doesn't work well. If we want
to progress with this beta sofware, the best we can do is
help finding bugs, testing it, and putting the best.
But NEVER complain about anything, because the developpers
(in this case Craig Small and others) can be sensible.
The faster the software is released, the faster the bugs
are detected, and the faster we have stable versions.
But when someone complains automatically then the
developpers are scared, and prefer wait before releasing
their work, and so the community is loosing time in having
this stable versions.
- If we can't help in debugging, or the bugs can provoque
us many problems, the better is to wait. There is no problem
in beeing one year delayed, although I think that is actually
the limit.
