Hi Karl,
As a relative newcomer to Redhat Linux and the AX25 utilities, I've had
nothing but difficulties in getting things working. Things were never this
complicated under Slakware v1.5.9 several years ago...At least we knew where
we stood with that... I have read all of the chatter on here concerning the
various problems and workarounds that various people have been doing to get
the AX25 utilities and associated applications to work. It seems that things
have progressed at such a rapid pace that nothing is documented and nobody
knows precisely what works or does not work, until it it tried, thus
expending many ham time-units in the process...

I've installed RH Linux v6.0 and love its new features, yet it would seem
that nobody has really come up with a working approach to getting the AX25
stuff working under that version. I guess if I am to continue running v6.0, I
will have to dump the AX25 stuff and stick with TNOS v2.30. At least I know
that TNOS works, despite the demise of any support for those of us that
bothered to register the program... I will stick with TNOS/Linux until such
time as someone can reach a decision as to what AX25 stuff works with RH
Linux v6.0 and can demonstrate same.... At least this time my BBS and
associated services will remain on the air and won't be off due to a defunct
kernel...

I will look forward to hearing from whoever comes up with a working set up
AX25 utilities and associated applications under RH Linux v6.0. My sincerest
thanks to everyone for their efforts... Please keep it up....
