I have done kernel-patches back in the old 1.2.x days -- is the same process used even with the new 2.0.3x kernels? 2.0.35 is the kernel 'out-of-the-box' with Caldera OpenLinux by the way. I would guess the ax-25-utils.rpm would be on my CD's that came with Caldera -- or should I consider using ftp to pick up the rpm's from somewhere on the net? > Here's my startup script: > bat@linux1 [18]: cat S88ax25 > setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none > insmod hdlcdrv > insmod baycom mode="ser12*" iobase=0x3F8 irq=4 > sethdlc -i bc0 -a txd 200 slot 100 ppersist 40 half > ifconfig bc0 up > axparms -setcall bc0 KE2LJ > bat@linux1 [19]: > At this point, bc0 is up, and I use call to make a connection.
